
Mr. Ahmed Albalooshi has over 15 years of ICT and project management experience, during which he has been exposed to multiple roles and responsibilities in the private and public fields that assisted him in gaining the managerial and technical skills he possesses today.
Currently, Mr. Al Balooshi holds the position of the Director of eService & Channel Development Directorate and manages a specialized team in charge of eServices, electronics channels development, enhancement, and monitoring. He also directs the execution of several national initiatives to elevate government services performance and standards alongside improving the customers satisfaction.
Since joining the Information & eGovernment Authority in 2013, Mr. Albalooshi has worked directly with governmental entities in implementing eTransformation plans and contributed to the management and implementation of several national projects and strategies, namely the National Portal development program, the “BeAware” system, and the national payment platform development project.
Prior to joining iGA, Mr. Albalooshi has held various positions in the information technology field including programming, operations, as well as management in the private sector. He started his career as an IT Operations specialist in the banking sector, then progressed to a programmer and IT projects manager, then continued his career as a senior projects manager within the same sector.
Mr. Al Balooshi was presented with the HRH “Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Medal for Medical Merit”. He has master’s degree in business administration from New York institute of Technology, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Bahrain.
