Feras Jaffar Ahmed
Feras is an accomplished technology professional with a proven track record of success. As a CE Consultant, he serves both in an advisory capacity as well as being responsible for key strategic initiatives. He contributes in building, maintaining and strengthening the iGA’s strategic business relationships locally and abroad. In addition, he represents the iGA in regional and international events as well as promotes the e-Government Program of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Feras is also the Vice Chairman of Silah Gulf, a specialized contact center company established as a joint venture with the private Sector.  He is also a member of Silah Gulf’s audit, risk, remuneration and nomination committees.
Prior to his current role, Feras was Director of e-Service Delivery and Channel Enhancement where he oversaw the establishment of the e-government channels (portal, mobile, contact center, kiosk and e-service centers)  as well as the delivery of 270 electronic services. In addition, he successfully executed a number of business models culminating in public private partnerships as well as a joint venture with the private sector that led to the establishment of Silah Gulf. As a key member of the National e-Government Strategy Committee, he played an instrumental role in formulating and shaping the new e-Government Strategy 2016 for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Prior to joining the eGA, Feras held key management and technical positions at leading Bahraini organizations including the Arab Insurance Group (ARIG), Bahrain Telecommunications Company (BATELCO), National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) and the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).

Feras holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science and a B.Sc. (honors) degree in Business Information Systems both from the University of East Anglia, UK.
