www.iga.gov.bh. A total of 80 participants will be selected and trained over the course of one year. This program is part of Bahrain’s efforts to support digital transformation and reinforce its position as a regional leader in ICT and innovation, in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
The 3rd edition of the Technical Development Program (TTDP) program reflects a continued commitment to the investment in the national talents development, particularly in technical fields and skilling Bahraini youth to become the first choice for employment.
iGA’s Chief Executive, Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, emphasized that the third batch of the program serves as a key pillar of the iGA’s strategy to drive digital transformation and enhance adaptability to rapid technological changes. He affirmed the iGA’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge capacity building aligned with global technological trends, enabling participants to gain the skills required to thrive in the labor market across both public and private sectors. Participants will undergo on-job training within the iGA’s technical different directorates, engaging directly in tasks related to their areas of specialization.
Al Qaed added that the program is one of the most prominent initiatives contributing to the Bahraini skills development and enhance their readiness for future leadership roles. It also demonstrates the authority’s ongoing commitment to nurturing national competencies in advanced digital and technical fields. The program plays a pivotal role in supplying the Bahraini labor market with skilled technical professionals, supporting innovation and sustainable growth, and enhancing Bahrain’s position as a leading technology hub.
Al Qaed stated that the first and second batches has achieved significant success. The first completed batch provided on-job training to 80 participants at the Authority. All graduates also attained qualified 146 professional certifications in collaboration with international technology institutes and companies. The results of the program is demonstrated by 79% of graduates have been employed in both the public and private sectors immediately after completing the program.
The Chief Executive also highlighted that the current second batch showcased the enrollment of 29 participants, 16 of them have been selected for employment before the completion of the program (13 in the public sector and 3 in the private sector). These results highlight the program’s effectiveness in equipping participants with in-demand technical skills and providing real job opportunities for graduates.
As for the eligibility criteria for the third batch , registration requirements applicants must be Bahraini citizens aged between of 21 and 30 years old, holding a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, and be registered as job seekers or under the unemployment insurance system with the Ministry of Labour.
Applicants must also submit the required documents, including a copy of their university degree, a CV, and any additional professional certificates that support their application.
