iGA CE: MyGov App is the First Phase of the Government Apps merger plan with a total of 100,000 downloads after two weeks of its launch

Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain: The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, stated that the recently launched MyGov app in the eGovernment App Store at bahrain.bh/apps, remarks the initial phases of the government apps merger plan. The plan focuses on merging existing government apps into three main apps: “MyGov” for individuals, the “AlTajir” app for businesses, and “Bahrain app” for visitors, while keeping few apps such as eKey 2.0 app as a supportive app due to its nature. He emphasized iGA will continue to implement the development plan for MyGov app by adding more Government eServices based on priority and high usage by the public in coordination with relevant entities.
Mr. Al Qaed highlighted that this initiative aligns with the strategic objectives of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which support the continuous implementation of digital transformation processes, and the development of services and channels provided to the public. Al Qaed pointed out that the first quarter of 2025 witnessed the implementation of the first phase of developing the "MyGov" app, including the announcement of the integration of "Be Aware" Bahrain app services and its discontinuation. Additionally, the services of the Bahrain Post and Electricity & Water apps were merged, with a gradual phase-out of these two applications based on user experience analysis.
Mr Al Qaed clarified that during the second quarter of 2025, phase 2 will be implemented by integrating the services of the eTraffic and Islamiyat apps into the MyGov app to be followed by services of the Sehati, Wejhati and eShabab apps. He added that the decision to merge these applications is based on their high usage rates.
Mr. Al Qaed pointed out that, in conjunction with the integration of applications 19 additional eServices will be added to MyGov app, in addition to displaying other documents and certificates in the second phase, which will be announced at a later stage. Mr. Al Qaed emphasized that work is continuous to add new services on priority and usage rates.
Mr. Al Qaed also stated that a unified payment feature will be made available through the "My Government" app for several services, including criminal order payments and traffic violation payments.
On another note, Al Qaed mentioned that the total number of app downloads is 100,000 within just two Weeks of its launch. Reflecting the public's eagerness to benefit from the app and complete their transactions efficiently.
