iGA CE Mohammed Al Qaed Receives Best CEO Award and iGA Wins HR Innovation Award for Technical Development Program

The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive Mohammed Ali Al Qaed has been awarded as the ‘Best CEO in the Government Sector’ during The BSCM Excellence Award ceremony organized by the Bahrain Society for Human Capital Management (BSCM) in the attendance of His Excellency Mr. Ali Bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council at the InterContinental Regency Hotel. The iGA also received the ‘HR Innovation’ award for its initiative The Technical Development Program (TTDP), recognized as the best public sector initiative.
On this occasion, Al Qaed highlighted Bahrain’s leadership under His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in empowering national leadership and driving innovation across government sectors, yielding achievements in various fields.
Al Qaed emphasized that this award reflects the ongoing support of His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology (MCICT), in collaboration with government entities to drive digital transformation and develop the workforce to enhance various sectors. The iGA’s digital initiatives align with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and Government Plan (2023 – 2026), particularly in empowering government employees.
Al Qaed was honored for his strategic vision for human capital , efforts in nurturing national ICT talent both in technical and capacity-building areas and his commitment to employee development ,dedication to fostering innovation and professionalism in HR management practices.
During the awarding ceremony, the iGA’s Technical Development Program, launched by iGA in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, won the ‘HR Innovation’ award as the best government initiative promoting innovation in HR development. This program, a key national government project, aligns with Bahrain's national goals and economic recovery plan, fostering creativity and developing technical skills among youth.
He affirmed that winning the ‘HR Innovation’ award for the Technical Development Program reflects the iGA's commitment to advancing the skills of young graduates and job seekers in ICT. The program equips participants to tackle future challenges by enhancing their technical expertise, and preparing them for leadership roles in the tech sector while supporting the Bahrainization of technical positions.
Al Qaed also praised the GovEmployee app, launched by the Civil Service Bureau in collaboration with the iGA, for winning the ‘Digital Transformation in HR’ award. This success reflects the joint efforts and effective integration of digital technologies into HR processes, enhancing accessibility, efficiency, and service delivery.
Al Qaed thanked the organizers of the BSCM Excellence Awards and wished them continued success, expressing hope for future editions of the award and the achievement of their goals.
