iGA CE and Kuwait CAIT Director General Discuss Cooperation in Technology

Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed met with Kuwait’s Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) Director General, Haya Al-Wadani on the sidelines of Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award Ceremony 2022.
Al Qaed highlighted the close ties between the two countries and praised Kuwait’s efforts to enhance its Information and Communication Technology (ICT) through important digital initiatives. He wished the country and its people further progress and prosperity.
The meeting discussed a number of issues related to technology, including notable digital projects currently being implemented in both countries, and efforts being taken to better utilize cloud computing, particularly in reducing government expenditures, enhancing data protection, increasing productivity, and streamlining procedures.
They discussed eServices and apps available to citizens and residents in both countries, and the importance of continually improving them to meet the rapidly evolving needs of individuals and organizations. They examined how to get the most out of governance and its role in improving government processes, strengthening monitoring, and identifying and addressing flaws.
The meeting also covered opportunities for cooperation and exchange of experience when it comes to launching systems that support government processes. Al Qaed highlighted a number of the systems that the iGA provided other Bahrain government entities that led to improvements in their work, such as Benayat, the National Complaint and Suggestion System (Tawasul), and the National Appointment System.
Al Qaed praised Kuwait’s experience in the field of technology and said that he looks forward to holding more of these meetings to help unify GCC efforts to invest in advanced technologies and adopt digital solutions.
