Government Service Centers Evaluation Committee Holds its 13th Meeting and Discusses Updates on Service Centers Development

The Government Service Centers Evaluation Committee held its 13th meeting, chaired by Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed. The meeting aimed at reviewing the outcomes of the fifth evaluation round (Taqyeem 5) and the latest improvements taken place in government service centers.

The meeting commenced with the Al Qaed note, stressing the importance of continuous efforts in improving the efficiency and readiness of government service centers. He highlighted that the committee is always keen to provide standards and mechanisms that support the efforts of government entities in delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of citizens and residents, in line with the aspirations and directives of the government.

Al Qaed also pointed out that the committee has included strategic directions in the Government Service Centers Evaluation Guide to enhance government performance and develop the centers in line with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030. This is achieved by adopting the latest technologies and systems that contribute to optimizing procedures and improving communication and interaction effectiveness.

The committee Chair highlighted also the importance of the committee efforts to improve government service centers in line with the government's goals to enhance efficiency and providing outstanding services to citizens and residents through facilitating access to service channels and government employees. He also pointed out the impact of adopting modern technologies and systems, as well as providing virtual service centers to simplify the utilization of government services, which contributes to improving responsiveness and customer satisfaction.

The meeting also discussed the outcomes of the fifth round (Taqyeem5) and the measures taken by the entities to improve and enhance the performance of their service centers. Additionally, the committee discussed supportive plans to provide the necessary support in meeting the evaluation criteria to prioritize customer service, streamline procedures, reduce waiting time, and improve service speed.

A several recommendations and suggestions from committee members were also discussed, aimed at improving the performance of government service centers and enhancing evaluation results in future rounds.

The committee Chair concluded the meeting by stressed on the importance of the on-going cooperation with all relevant entities to develop government service centers. He also remarked the efforts of committee members in carrying out the evaluation process, reaffirming that the committee will continue its efforts to enhance center performance and ensure the provision of exceptional government services that meet the aspirations of citizens and residents.
