Bahrain Exports for Products of National Origins reach BD3864 Million during 2024

The Information &eGovernment Authority (iGA) has released its Foreign Trade report of 2024, which encompasses data on Trade Balance, Imports, Exports of products with national origin, and Re-exports.

As per the report, the value of imports has increased by 2%, reaching to BD5872 million during 2024 in comparison with BD5778 million for 2023. The top 10 countries for imports marked with 68% of the total value of imports.

According to the report, China ranked first for imports to Bahrain, with a total of BD837 million (14%), followed by Australia being the second with BD564 million (10%), and Brazil as a third with BD500 million (9%).

Non-Agglomerated Iron Ores and Concentrates Alloyed marked as the top product imported to Bahrain with a total value of BD606 million (10%), while Other Aluminum Oxide was second with BD535 million (9%), followed by Parts for Aircraft Engines being the third with BD198 million (3%).

On the other hand, the value of Exports of Products with National Origin marked a decrease by 1% with a value of BD3864 million during 2024, compared to BD3909 million for 2023. The top 10 countries accounted for 67% of the total export value.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked first among countries for the exports of Products with National Origin with BD903 million (23%). The United States of America was second with BD394 million (10%) and The United Arab Emirate was third with BD366 million (9%).
Unwrought Aluminum Alloys marked as the top products exported during 2024 with BD1037 million (27%), followed by Agglomerated Iron Ores and Concentrates Alloyed being the second with a value of BD666 million (17%) and Unwrought Aluminum not alloyed third with BD232 million (6%).

The total value of Re-exports increases by 8% to reach BD819 million during 2024, compared to BD756 million for 2023. The top 10 countries in Re-exports accounted for 79% of the re-exported value. The United Arab Emirate ranked first with BD276 million (34%), followed by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as second with BD173 million (21%), and Singapore third with BD38 million (5%).

As per the report, Turbo-Jets was the top product re-exported from Bahrain with a value of BD167 million (20%), followed by Four Wheel Drive BD53 million(6%), and Private Cars came third with BD44 million(5%).

As for the Trade Balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, the deficit amounted to BD1189 million dinars in 2024, Compared to a deficit of BD1113 million dinars in 2023.
